ActiveSync

I'm running Windows XP and Outlook 2007 and contecting to Palm Pro with USB cable 

ActiveSync was working before but about 3 weeks ago I noticed that when it is updating the notes section it stops.

ActiveSync error signature says

 AppName: wcesmgr.exe    AppVer: 4.5.5096.0  ModName: inkstore.dll

 ModVer 4.5.5096.0  Offset: 0000521c

I used to have a similar, maybe the same, problem with an 800w. The problem was trying to sync to two PC's in the hope of keeping Outlook syncd on both.

It was suggested to stop syncing notes but I just gave up on using ActiveSync on two PCs for Outlook. I now use it just for "normal files" with the phone and use a Zire 31 to keep Outlook syncd.

Thanks for replying.   I upgraded to a new computer about that time so that might be the problem.  I do remember a message saying that the phone was all ready linked to my old computer but I thought I told it use the new computer as the main computer.

Is there a way to remove the old computer setting from my phone.

With the phone not connected to PC try

Programs/activesync

You might have to press "OK" or try a couple of times but you should see a listing of the PCs it has syncd with.

Menu/options will bring up a screen with the PC's and check boxes for items to sync. (you might get to this screen in the beginning).

You should be able to select/highlight a PC and delelte it from the list. Even if you only have one you might delete it and start over.
