Has anyone figured out how to ZOOM IN & OUT when taking pictures or shooting mini-videos on their Palm Pre phone? It is so frustrating that a simple application is so hard to find. I hate to compare it but my old Samsung BlackJack even had that simple application. Can anyone please HELP?

Hello and welcome to the forums;

At this time, the Pre does not have a zoom function for either the camera or video recorder. If this could be added as a software update, you could request this option at www.palm.com/feedback where our developers monitor customer requests for changes and updates.

This may or may not be helpful...but considering using directions found on the net to recycle a DVD laser lens to add a macro function on my Pre+.

I believe I may have to buy a new back to house the lens.... but would find it helpful to get closeups on my phone.

Apparently, the DIY project is do-able and worth it. Sorry...don't have the link.
