We've had our Pixi since June with no troubles. Suddenly this morning the ringer stopped working and the ringer switch is turned on. When reviewing ringtone options, the previews play with no sound. Stored .mp3 files won't produce any audio. When going to YouTube there is no audio or video, but the time marker does advance showing the video is playing. The pre-loaded videos won't play at all, giving back an error message.
I've tried a soft reset with no effect. Nothing has changed between last night and today that should have affected the phone and the phone has never had a headset plugged into it.
What else can we try? Thanks!
Mark V.

There may be something stuck in the headphone jack. Try plugging/unplugging some earphones several times.

We did try plugging and unplugging a headset and no luck. Looks like we'll have to try a full reset to original and see if that works.

Mark,
I recently had the same problem with audio and video, plus my camera would not take pictures. It started after the download of the new update 1.4.5. I had to download WebOs Doctor on the computer and follow the instruction to reload the update on my Pixi. It fixed all the problems and is now back to 100 percent operation. Let me know if this fixes your problem.
also make sure you run the back up feature before you run webos doctor.
Sincerely,
Carl

Thanks Carl, that worked perfectly. As soon as I hooked up the phone to the PC, the message showed that the phone was locked up after a failed update.
Thanks again!
