Can the palm pre be use as a external audio source for example can I pug the phone in to my car stereo through the AUX input 3.5 mm port on the front of the head unite and if so where can I get a cable for it

Yes it can, and you should be able to find the cable at any electronics store - Radio Shack, Best Buy, etc.   It's just a simple male-male 3.5mm cable...

Thnx wyrenut  what about playing movies over the TV? just use the USB cable? is there a how to manual anywhere?

Currently there is no way to play movies from your TouchPad to a TV.
