Anyone else having this serious issue I am with the Blue Ant Q1 and the Pre?
The Q1 has incredibly short battery life while paired with Pre. I tested it with my wife's blackberry the other day and it functions normally while paired with that device. My experience is backed up by others at this thread at Tre/Pre Central: http://discussion.treocentral.com/palm-pre-bluetoo
Anyone else having this issue and are there any suggested fixes for this? The Blue Ant rep on the thread above suggested they were aware, that this is a Pre only issue, and they are working on it.
The problem is that this incredibly short battery life issue renders the headset nearly useless beyond your intial few hours of use.

Is there a Blue Ant rep in the house?
Anyone who has this issue should call them up and let them know. I did just that, spoke to a nice cutomer/tech support guy.
He said that they were aware of the issue, acknowledge it, that it ony happens wit the Pre as far as they are aware, and that a fix is forthcoming. No delivery date on the fix. He mentioned that they had heard about it from a Pre message baord - not from phone calls and that they were surprised more people did not call them up.
I asked him a few different ways about the timing of the fix. He had no info to share on that front. frustrating

I'm curious - did the BlueAnt rep tell you a patch was coming from Palm or from them?

i didn't ask specifically. he said a few different ways that "they" were aware of the problem, acknowledged it as one, and were working on fix. He never pointed the finger at Palm so it certainly seemed as if it was a Blue Ant issue from the call.
that said, as the q1 works fine with other headsets . . . what about this pic is different than the other.
i just "them " to ship the fix . . . .

I Cant say that I have a Beta patch that I'm testing for the q1 because I promised that I would not redistribute the update till its out of beta.
I will say be patient it will be soon! Ive just had this update for 1 day but its promising, It went 10.5 hrs today and still said Battery Medium!
Please be patient I promise BlueAnt is working on this.

Yes, I've had this problem too. We have another Ant Q1 in the family paired with a blackberry and the battery life is much longer.
I thought my Ant was defective and returned it only to find the same issue of a short battery life with the second unit.
Reading this thread I will call Blue Ant to complain and also try the firmware update.
