any word yet on the verizon update

I just talked with Verizon and they have no idea when they will release the OS 1.4.1 update that resolves this issue. They tried to explain that they need to test it before they can release it. I am not sure why they did not test the 1.4 version!  How can Sprint do it so quickly.  This is very frustrating. I am ready to leave Verizon after many years.

What is going on? My wife had the 1.4.1 update weeks ago on Sprint. I, too, am ready to leave both Verizon and Palm!

rejoice BMW/verizon customers. WebOS 1.4.1 is available and it works....finally.

So is this a real fix, I just called verizon and the lady did not know what she was talking about at all, she didn't even know there were different OS versions!!!!

Ok this problem is fixed 100% for verizon wirless as well.  Funny thing is if I had not gone on this forum I would have never found the answer. The Palm tech support chat user said there was no fix for my particular year and model bmw. Thankfully people like the ones on this forum don't take no for an answer!!!  Just go to updates on your palm and it will download the 1.4.1 update, takes about 15minutes and I have already used the phone with my system and the address book and everything was perfect. thank you guys a million!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a 2009 BMW 320i (in the UK) with the standard BMW Professional Bluetooth kit (i.e. not the i-drive system). I have similar problems as described in this form when connecting my Palm Pre 2 running WebOS 2.1.0.

I can pair the phone and car and can receive calls or dial from the phone, BUT

steering wheel controls do not work

Contacts do not sync

Voice commands don't work

CarKit will lock up if you press the steering wheel buttons and you have to switch off bluetooth to unlock the radio.

It looked as though this was fixed in 1.4.1 so why is 2.1.0 suffering similar problems?

Does anyone know of a fix to this issue for the Pre 2?

This was a huge problem for me also. I decided to leave Sprint and the Palm Pre.

I have 2008 e91 and the phones that connect with the car's Bluetooth with no problems are Nokias but I just don't like the phones. The only smartphone I was able to connect with the car was blackberry, everything else was A PAIN.
I'm not changing the car though, I like it too much.
