Centro won't HotSync using Bluetooth & Windows 7

I have been using Bluetooth to HotSync my Palm Centro (Verizon) with my Windows 7 (HP) computer.  The last successful HotSync was 2 weeks ago (9/20).  No hardware or software changes have been made to the computer since then.  When I tried to HotSync today I got this message:

HotSync Problem

Unable to initiate HotSync operation because the port is in use by another application.

I tried rebooting the computer, but that didn't help.

Can anybody help me?  In very simple basic words (pretend you're talking to your grandmother) please.

Thanks,

Nancy

Yet another attempt to HotSync proved successful.  So it seems to have been a temporary situation.

I also get this message.  I thought it was because my wife and I each have a Palm Centro and it meant that the HotSync was still connected to the other person's phone.  But If you are only using one phone, and still get this message, I am now stumped as to why the error occurs.

One phone, one computer.  And the error happened again; again I just kept trying every few hours and it finally worked.
