Palm Pilot VX with TDK Blue5 (a Bluetooth enabler accessory)

[ Edited ]

TDK Systems manufactured a bluetooth enabler for the PalmV/ Vx and IBM WorkPad c3. The idea was to pair with an appropriate wireless phone so that the browser software and e-mail software which came with the installation CD would access the internet.  Cellular service providers have blocked access by means of firewall software.

However, the equipment also promised additional "bonus" software from www.tdksys.com (free for the asking) but today TDK has disconnected its e-mail or otherwise refuses to acknowledge or respond to requests to honor its committment.

It appears the idea was to allow the Palm VX user to make voice calls from the Palm Contacts directory through the cell phone.  As most people know, the Palm contact directory and subfolders are far superior to any wireless phone contact directory.

It is against the Forums' Terms of Service to solicit the sharing or exchange of copyrighted software.

Can I at least ask the forum members for the NAME of the software which TDK Systems promised, but now declines to even communicate about?  With merely the NAME of the missing software, I could search for it elsewhere on the internet and more likely than not, find a source for information about it.

Re: Palm Pilot VX with TDK Blue5 (a Bluetooth enabler accessory)

I mean, I don't need to share copyrighted material even when it is obviously abandoned by the holder in question.  It would never be a violation of the copyright to just identify the software.  I mean, we can mention Windows XP here without violating the copyright held by Microsoft.  I could mention WordPerfect by name as a software product and not violate the copyright held by Novell.  Were I to mention the HP Director, it would not be a violation of the copyright held by Hewlett-Packard.  In a similar vein - it would be nice to learn the name of the TDK Systems software offered for FREE when it sold the blue5 enabler.  Whose copyright is damaged in that fashion?  Let's not be so draconian and harsh, okay?

Thank you for being gracious and wise.

Now if anyone reads this board who can help me out, it would be greatly appreciated.
