I am having no luck whatsoever getting the file explorer to browse network shares.  I have tried \\<ip address>\share and \\<computer name>\share.  I keep getting "The network path was not found." followed by "Network resource cannot be found or you do not have permission to access the network."  I can however communicate with the computer network share is on by browsing web pages hosted by the same server.  I am 100% confident that there are no firewall issues on the server side that are preventing me from accessing the share.

Are you connecting though wifi or though the cell?

If the connection type is WiFi, tried setting the Connection to "Work" rather than "Internet"?

Thanks, I had already tried that after seeing it on other posts on other sites and sure enough that is the only way it will work.

Hi all.. I've the same problem, but only with shares on Win Server 2008 R2 Ent.

I can easly access to share on Win 7 or Win XP, from Win Mobile 6.0+6.5..

and I can access to a web server on the same Win 2008 R2 server.. But no success against a file share on Win 2008 R2: I've 2 error messagebox:

• "the network path was not found"
• "Network resource cannot be found or you do not have permission to access the network"

Any suggestion ?

@Danilode Did you ever find a solution for this problem? I'm having the exact same issue & the information in those shares is absolutely critical to our operations. I'm banging my head against the wall over here trying to get this thing fixed.

No way... I gave up.... I switched my app to FPT, with an FTP Mobile C# Client.. So: workaround the problem..

Danilode - I gave up too. I moved my shares out to my NAS.
