Live chat with Palm

I've tried numerous times to download the software needed to connect to live chat with Palm techs.  Anyone ever have this problem?

Re: Live chat with Palm

What web browser are you using?

Also when you click on the link are you speaking of the chat now? Or the chat with Palm on the form?

Do you know what version of IE? Also have you had any other trouble with websites similar to this one?

Re: Live chat with Palm

Try this link: http://kb.palm.com/wps/portal/kb/na/treo/650/verizon/solutions/article/43473_en.html

If that does not work try this one: http://portal.palm.com/wps/portal/forms/lmichat?rg=NA&lg=en&fn=treo&cn=verizon&mn=650

If either one does not work, it could be an issue with the browser. To test try with a different one like Firefox or Chrome. I have tested this internally on 4 browsers, IE version 6, IE version 8, Firefox and Chrome and both links work for me. Not to limit your issue, but if this was a problem we would of heard a lot of feedback on this.

Just to be sure, is there any security settings that you have in place that would stop a page from loading?

Re: Live chat with Palm

I can now see the download happening, but then here is the error I get:

"Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file.  You may not have the appropriate premissions to access them."

Re: Live chat with Palm

Is this for a work PC or at Home? Reason why I ask is that the chat program also allows our techs to remote control your PC with your approval. If you work in a corporate environment, your IT may not allow this to happen and placed restrictions not to allow that to be done. If you do not have this restriction then it would be the security on the PC itself that is causing this. If that is the case, it would be a program that is installed on your PC or the PC settings. If you know how to turn off your firewalls or change your IE settings that may resolve the issue.
