Anybody hear anything more from HP? I have a service request in, sent in a log as requested and now...nothing. I'm ready to ask for a refund on my cases at this point since HP sold them to me as touchstone compatible...

Same here, no response. Not on this or the accelerometer issue.
But I don't expect there to be any individualized response since the fix would have to come in the form of an update. Say, 3.0.6?
In the meantime, I'm doing just fine having gone back to 3.0.2 and having disabled auto-update via Linux commandline.

I'm very satisfied with 3.0.4 except for this nagging recharging issue. It would be nice if HP would provide a patch to fix this. It's a PITA to have to remove my TP from its case everytime I want to use the Touchstone.

Yes, you're right. I corrected the "Cd" command to be "cd". Force of habit to capitalize.
Been weeks now and still on 3.0.2 with no nags to d/l 3.0.4. Touchpad charging as expected under 3.0.2.
Perhaps by month's end there will be another OS update to correct the issue. Perhaps not.

I've noticed this with my Touchpad and Touchstone also. I have an HP case. My symptoms are different but seem to be related.
After the upgrade to 3.0.4, with the Touchpad in the case the unit shows that it's charging, but most of the time it doesn't charge at all and in fact loses battery life. I have tried with the Touchpad not in the case, and the unit shows charging on the Touchpad, and in fact does increase the percentage charged. I'm sure that it's all related to the tolerance being decreased as you have all stated.

Does anyone know if 3.0.5 fixes this problem? I've seen lists of things that the coming update will supposedly fix but haven't seen this issue listed. Anyone have any idea if HP did anything about this issue?
