My touchpad won't switch on. The central light blinks and sometimes pressing the power button brings up a battery symbol with a question mark in the middle of the screen. The touchpad has been on charge for hours now.
I have tried central + power + volume down and central + power + volume up button. Nothing has worked. When I plug the touchpad to my laptop windows does try to search for a driver but fails to do so.
The Webdoctor fails to detect the device. Any ideas?

It's quite possible you have a defective cable. If you can locate another micro-USB cable, give that a try.
The touchpad isn't getting charged.

Its not the cable. The HP touchpad cable is charging two smart phones and I have tried to use two different micro usb cables with the touchpad without any luck. When I do a hard reboot of the touchpad when its not connected to a computer I get the big white Question mark within a battery symbol. When
I try to reboot the touchpad while its connected to the laptop I simply get a black screen with a blinking central button. The laptop does recognize that something is connected but is unable to determine what it is. WebOS Doctor does not detect the device either.

I did send my touchpad back to HP. They were unable to fix it and replaced it with a new unit.
