In App manager, I clicked on "Backgammon Free" (a new app). It came up with the title message, full screen. But no button to go back. The only way to fix this was to minimise and then close the application. This is a bug - you need a button to go back.

No, they need to bring back the gesture area. It was a moronic idea to remove it, the gesture area was an inspired addition and is absolutely critical to WebOS function. The stupid thing is that there is a HUGE thick black border all the way around the screen that is fully touch-capable, but HP decided to NOT use it as a gesture area? Huh? I mean, how hard can it be to program the OS to access the motion sensors and "Use bottom border as gesture area"?
It makes no sense.

I downloaded this app on my Touchpad and tried it myself. I am not sure why you need a back button, But If you feel that this game needs a back button for some reason then you would need to contact the developer to make this change. You can contact the developer from the App Catalog under this app, and then just choose support.

No No No. You misunderstand.
The downloader came up with the error that is in the title bar. It didn't download anything. It's the App Catalogue program that needs to put a "back" button on the page somewhere when it gets an error.

There is a back button in the App Catalog. Can you be more specific where this is occurring? Normally when you tap on download, the screen does not change from the app unless you close the App Catalog. Once the download and install finish you get an option to launch the app in the same screen. Where are you receiving your error? Are you closing out of App Catalog?

Recently when browsing the HP App store and tapping on an app to get more info the error message reported here opens full screen and there is no way to get back to the HP App Store without starting the app from the beginning. The error page does not have a back arrow or anything other than the error message. That is annoying but more annoying is the fact that so many apps get this error now.
I have tried a complete re-start of the TP with no joy. I a have also cleared all browsing history and cookies, still no joy. I have reported this problem as well.

Getting the UI for this error message fixed is a good thing but until a few days ago I never got the error message and now I get it more that 75% of the time. In fact I have tapped on an app for more info and everything went smoothly but when I tapped on it again a few minutes later I got the error. It seems like the onset of this error coincides with the last HP App Store update.
Fixing the cause of the error would really be great. I mean why would the HP App Store be filled with apps that are not valid HP WebOS applications!

Is this any application or are you selecting new to the catalog applications when you see this?

I am selecting New, to look at new apps. I have been doing this since I got my TP a month or so ago and as I said it just started happening.
