As of lately my Touchpad was having boot up problems, then I updated to 3.0.5 86 for a hopeful resolution, but the issue continued. Last night I decided to do a complete reset, wiping out all data (usb as well) from my tablet. I came back to my tablet and it was off, so I held the power button and nothing.
I've tried the following to revive it:
This touchpad will not power on. Funny thing though is that when I tried this through my computer every so often it sounded like it was mounting through my computer then an error sound as if mounting was unsuccesful through my compter.
I've had my Touchpad since August, purchased during the fire sale on HP.com. What should I do?

There have been several reports of failed USB cords on this Forum. Perhaps this could be your issue too?
I'd try another micro USB cable in case yours is damaged and unable to charge the device.

I have tried an HTC micro USB cable with no difference in results.
Earlier I was frantically pressing my power + volume + physical button several times and it suddenly powered, quickly showing the HP logo then the USB logo on the screen. I pressed power + physical button to reset it quickly and it powered off. No luck since then.

I have 2 HP Touchpad. I have the same problem with one of my HP Touchpad 32GB. I only udated one of them to 3.0.5.86. And now it will not power on. Left on the charger over night. went to power up and no responses. followed all of the steps above, with no luck at all.
I am questioning a bug with the update.

Its been quite awhile since I have been able to respond, but no luck charging it all night, still will not power on. Is HP able to replace my TouchPad? If so, how do I go about requesting an exchange?

FYI - My computer picks up the port being active when I connect it to my computer. But the TP does not respond, even with various button combos or just holding the volume button.

You would need to call HP Support for that.
