Not very promising that the left speaker dies only two days in. Has anyone else experienced any speaker failures?
The rep on the chat said they will take it for repairs, still awaiting some email from them that im suppsed to get.
Post relates to: HP TouchPad (WiFi)

I have checked your account and your current SR # and you had a repair/return SRO # that was set up today. A box will arrive for you to use to ship your Touchpad back for repair.
This is the first time I have heard of a inoperative speaker on a Touchpad.

Funny...but I had the same thing happen to me...got a Touchpad yesterday evening. Sound was working fine. Today, there is no sound coming out of the Touchpad. Spent several hours with HP tesch support. Restarted machine, did full erase but still no sound. HP sending another one...I am convinced that it's a hardware issue.

Add me to the list of people who got a Touchpad with a bad speaker. It's so annoying too, because I drove 100+ miles at 4am to get the last one at a Wal-Mart in my state. Anyway, I made a video about mine here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xOzNJHvDFhE

I fixed it! No one I spoke to at HP was able to figure out that, although I was doing full erase on the machine (all my apps were gone and I had to start back from scratch), I wasn't really doing a full erase since the picture that I had put as a backgroud kept coming up. I plugged it to WebosDoctor and it finally reset it properly. My sound is back on!
If there is an opening (in the US) in the Touchpad technical department, call me ![]()

My speakers have completely stopped working. All the settings are "On" for sound. Maxed volume, and everything is not Muted. I just purchased this from Best Buy less then a week ago, but they are not taking any returns. What do you suggest I do?

Are your speakers truly "blown", or have you simply lost sound overnight like many of us?
Reboot the touchpad. Device info/Reset options/Restart.

Hi, everyone. I'm having the same issue. My TouchPad's left speaker has stopped working after 4-5 days of owning it. The right speaker works fine, and the sound works fine with headphones. So it appears to be the left speaker hardware.
I've already reset the device three times (one of them a full reset) with webOS Doctor and still no luck. I talked to customer service and I have a repair order in already.
I don't think there's much that can be done at this point outside of sending it in for repair, but if anyone comes up with a better solution I'd love to hear it. Thanks.

Same thing is happening to me. I just got one yesterday and I noticed this morning that my left speaker wasn't working. Any ideas?
