Hi there,
On my home desktop machine I am running a localhost server (installed with WAMP). From my HP Pavilion laptop I can access that localhost server (in WiFi mode) by typing my desktop IP address: 192.168.1.11
A few weeks ago I managed to access that localhost server from my HP TouchPad (WebOS), but now I no longer can, don't know why.
From my Orange Livebox I can see that the TouchPad is connected, its IP address is 192.168.1.14.
I have the "What is My IP?" app installed on the TouchPad, which tells me about my its IP ADDRESS, and it displays a message "No Network Interfaces". What does this mean? Is it my problem?
Any ideas?

I'm a little confused. Is the localhost server a web page server of some sort? Were you using your TP's web browser to access 192.168.1.xxx (the IP of the localhost server)?

Hmm, ok I understand now. I wonder if there was a change from webOS 3.0.4 to webOS 3.0.5 that is causing this trouble? You recently updated your TP to 3.0.5, correct?
I'm not aware of any reason why the TP shouldn't be able to connect to the web page on your network. Have there been any patches or custom software added to the TP through Preware recently?

@speedtouch: thanks for offering to help.
Here are the results of some more tests.
Now I have set a localhost server running on my desktop (DHCP:192.168.1.10) and another one on my laptop (DHCP:192.168.1.15). My TouchPad's DHCP is 192.168.1.14
The following connections work OK:
But the connection I really need does not work:
4. cannot connect TouchPad to localhost on desktop
Weird!

Ok, so we know that connecting the TP to the localhost on your laptop works. Great! So now we need to find out what's different between the laptop local host and the desktop local host. We know that the TP works when conncted to a localhost. My guess is there is some configuration error on the desktop OS or the localhost preventing connection by the TP. I know the laptop connects to the desktop, which is weird. If the TP can't connect there, why can the laptop? I don't know the answer.
I asked earlier, but didn't get an answer: are you running any special patches or customized software from Preware?

Still pursuing the problem... Now I've installed wTerm on my TP so I can ping the other machines.
I do get answers when I ping:
When I ping my desktop IP on TouchPad I get no answer from the desktop host...
This is not a Firewall issue, I de-activate the firewall when conducting my tests.
I am stuck!
