Hey all,
I recently lost my Touchpad (stolen more like it) at the airport. I went to log into my profile and the touchpad was GONE. Does this mean someone tried the security code too often and it locked out and erased itself? What are my options now? Whe I get a replacement do i need to do all of this over again? Like pay for all of my apps?! Does HP have a way to report and lock them with serial numbers?
Post relates to: Treo 700p (Sprint)

I have looked at you webOS account and do not see the Touchpad listed as you mentioned, however the data is still showing and it was backed up yesterday so if you get a replacement device you should be able to restore your data to the replacement device.
It appears that whoever took the device may have performed a full erase and this has caused the device to disappear from the webOS account. Whoever took the device would not have the password to access user console to make any changes on you account.

My TouchPad was stolen. I believe I erased the data from the TouchPad. I really miss my TouchPad. Who can I get in touch with at HP to make sure the data was erased ? Can a person still use the TouchPad when is it locked up ? Thanks so much

mine was just stolen this morning from my checked bag on Delta in Atlanta. Any way to remote erase this? I am so bummed as I waited in line for 5 days to get this and Delta says there is nothing they can do...

Channe and Chriss4198, you both need to initiate the remote wipe feature. Log into your HP webOS Account here: https://ps.palmws.com/palmcsext/console/pages/Logi
Then find your TouchPad in the device list and click on Device Options. Click "I Lost My Phone" and follow the process from there. Once the TP has started the wipe process it cannot be stopped by anyone.

Hi Rob,
I just lost my TP yesterday, and I did login to HPwebOS.com, trying to wipe out my TP, but the "I lost my phone" is grayed out. Anything else I can do?
Thanks,
Thomas

Hi Thomas. Hmm, I am not sure what you can do, honestly. I've never seen that option grayed out. Let me see if I can possibly have an HP Tech Support person contact you to get your email that you use for the HP webOS Account. Don't post the email address here in this forum for all the world to see, though.

I have looked up your account and you never validated your email account, thus you are not able to remotely wipe your device. I have resent the link to your current webOS account email address. Once you validate your email address you should be able to remotely wipe the device.
