Skype audio bug using headphones

I want to post a bug I found with the Skype on the touchpad with 3.0.2 (could be on 3.0 as well).  I had my Palm Pre headphones plugged in (has a mic on it) and made a skype call and everything worked perfectly (as long as the far end has skype 5.3 or below on their PC).    During the call I removed my headphones and the counterparty could no longer hear my voice (I could hear the far end talking). I tried toggling the audio mute option and that didnt work. Plugging in the headset did not resolve it either. I had to drop the call and redial for the audio pickup to work again.  This was replicated multiple times and occured whether I initiated the call with the headset out or in and tried switching.

Re: Skype audio bug using headphones

bingo...was having similar issue...infact other way round...just bought my hp touchpad few days back and was trying skype with no effect...video was working perfectly fine, I was able to hear my friend but not the other way round i.e. my friend was not able to hear me....However when I put the headset in..everything works fine...please advise if its just software issue and not the hardware issue i.e. microphone has some problem

Re: Skype audio bug using headphones

I have similar issue, my wife uses HP touchpad WiFi and I use Ipad, when we are on skype, everything works fine untill she plugs in the earphone into touchpad... I can hear her, but she can't hear me at all... once this happens even if she unplugs the earphone, the problem continues untill we log out and log back in.

the earphone she uses is JVC and it works fine with Ipad, computers, other music devices etc...
