Hello all.
I seem to be having a problem with the TouchPad that I just purchased a little over a day ago. Whenever I attempt to turn on Bluetooth, all I get is the "Bluetooth is turning on ..." message and that's it. It never connects or does anything else. I have already attempted the 5T's but have not seen any results. I even updated to 3.0.2 using webOS Doctor. When I run the automatic diags, it shows that Bluetooth is working properly. Any idea on what the problem could be? I have yet to call the Butler service. I would appreciate any help, seeing as I intend to use the wireless keyboard accessory.
Thanks in advance.

And you've verified your BT keyboard is in discovery mode? Is this the official HP TouchPad BT keyboard?

It's the official keyboard and in discovery mode, it connects to my friend's TouchPad and everything.
It's just that my TouchPad's Bluetooth keeps cycling and just never turns on.

Oh, I see. I recommend you contact HP Support over the phone.

Not to revive an old thread but if any one can shed some light on this topic, I have this same exact issue as well and am curious to see what the outcome of it was.
I've let it sit on "turning on bluetooth" for hours and still nothing. I've even webos doctor'd and updated to 3.0.4 without any luck, so im lead to assume that this is a hardware problem?

Just as the OP was asked above, are you trying to pair with the HP keyboard, and are you sure it's in Discovery mode? Does it have fresh batteries in it? Have you told the touchpad you are pairing to a keyboard? (There is a pick list that you can open to change it's focus from "audio device" to "keyboard").
Do you have another BT device around the house that you can attempt pairing to? A phone perhaps? This would prove at least the BT works correctly in the touchpad.
