I purchased my HP Tablet yesterday from best buy. Got home, plugged it up to its charger, and began to set it up. I have yet to be able to make it past the HP webOS Account sign in. I keep recieving a "unable to sign you in. Pleas try again in a few minutes or contact HP." I have tried to login at least 50 times over the past 15hrs. Ive done some reading across the web to see if i came across anything to help me. I even tried to call HP's Butler Service for help but quickly gave up when the lady i spoke to could not figure out for the life of her how to spell my last name. So i am coming to you all. Does anyone know why it wont allow me to sign in. I figured there could of been a site overload since everyone rushed out and bought one for $100, and that the login server shut down from so many people trying to get on.
Allow me to state: In no way shape or form am i criticizing HP for the error with there butler service employee when i made that comment.

Let's first make sure you can sign into your HP webOS Account through your computer. Go to: https://ps.palmws.com/palmcsext/console/pages/Logi
If you can log in, come back here and let us know. We'll continue troubleshooting.

Ok, thanks. Sorry for the late reply. And you have verified your TouchPad is connected to a WiFi hotspot of some sort that has Internet access? If so, then I am not sure what the problem could be. I would contact HP's Butler service, maybe they can assist with your account problem.

I did call back to the butler service. after a Hour and 15 minutes on the phone. they themselves were stumped. There finally conclusion was the server must be clogged with all the recent webOS logins from the tablets. (which i still dont understand how that is if i can login on my actuall computer) it has now been a week since ive purchased the tablet and yet to enjoy at all.

Wow, I am very sorry this is happeneing to you. I am surprised the Butler service could not get it going. They're usually pretty good about most things. I've had to call a couple of times and always got my problem fixed.
So, let's continue this process of troubleshooting. We'll get you up and running by one way or another. Stick with us.
Have you attempted to connect your TouchPad to an unsecured WiFi router/hotspot just for the purpose of registering it on your webOS Account? Once you get it registered, then please secure your network once again.

Glad to have helped, swiharta. It looks like the TouchPad has problems with certain encryption schemes. Very strange. Have you now enabled encryption again?
