I’m having trouble with over-the-air programming for my Palm Pixi Plus. I bought the phone new, then had it sent to HP Palm to be repaired. The phone was activated when I bought it, but after it was repaired it no longer works. I called *228 and it says programming successful after a few seconds, but when I dial out, I get a Verizon prompt saying the phone number is invalid.
I was told that HP sometime changes the MEID # after repairs, but I don’t know how to check it on the phone itself. I’ve tried the bypass tool but it won’t run – it doesn’t do anything. The file I downloaded is devicetool.jar and it is in the main c: drive. The command prompt line I was using is java –jar devicetool.jar
I’ve also downloaded webOS doctor and reset my phone, but it still didn’t work.
Any other suggestions? Should I trust that the MEID number on the CDMA Test Data Sheet is the same as what the phone is programmed as?
Thanks.

You can open the back case of the Pixi and find the MEID by removing the battery. I think that's where the MEID is...

The MEID number on the back of the phone is the same as what's on the CMDA Test Data Sheet, but I want to know if it is the same as what is actully in the phone's software.

I was told by Verizon that the problem was with the phone and that the only time they heard of this problem is if the MEID I gave them was different that what is IN the phone, but there is no way to check what the phone software says because I can't get past the Palm Profile activation screen. I'm just assuming that it is the same as what is written on the back outside of the phone.
