HP webOS Profile and Services

Hi there.

I´m trying to activate my Visa Card for the App Catalog profil on my devices.

Both, Pre3 and TouchPad, were bought and activated in Germany.

I got two different Errors by the devices:

Pre3: PMT04006

TP: LOC02029

Any idea?

Hi sl4sh,

The only time I've seen that happen is when you're in a country where the App Cat doesn't take Visa. I don't have a comprehensive list, but I'm sure we could check with the support folks. What country are you in and what country did you choose when creating your HP webOS Account?

i'm in germany, and everything else happend here too (purchase, account acivation). in the settings it chooses automaticly my country and have the ability to take visa as an option. my account was first activated with my palm pre-

Alright, let's check a couple things real quick. Head over to http://www.hpwebos.com/account and login. Check to the make sure the Country on your profile is correct.

Then do a Reset on your TouchPad. Press and hold the Power Button and the Center button until you see the HP logo, then release.

Once it boots back up, go to the Software Manager app and install any updates that are available.

Finally, try adding your card back.

in my profil my country was set already to germany.
after rebooting, the touchpad found an update: app catalog.
i tried to add my card after installing, but no success.
i rebooted my device the second time and tried it again, but it didn't worked. same error LOC02029.

Unfortunately, I have no idea what that error code means. Try contacting HP directly... with that error code... and they should be able to help.

so, finally it worked... and this is how:
as told, i'm using a visa prepaid. after getting the card, i made a transaction to my card account. i tried to add my card to my webos account. i got the error messages as shown in the thread topic. i contacted my bank, but they hadn't a clou. i contacted hp support, but they couldn't help too.
BUT... i just was too hasty... after 4 days, the transaction to the card account was finished, and with money on the card, the card was activated. so the error messages really were sent by the bank-server to webos, meaning something like: the account exsists but still not activated.
now the card was accepted by webos.
