I am having difficulty enabling Palm syncing in iSync. When I attempt to do so I receive the following error message.
" The HotSync software is not properly installed or it has never been opened." etc.
I have definitely opened HotSync Manager (3.2.1) and have been able to sync my wife's Tungsten E2 with the PalmDesktop 4.2.1 software. I am using Leopard 10.5.3 on an iMac G5.
I have had this problem in the past but do not remember how to fix it. I'm afraid that I may have had to resort to using the Missing Sync in the past and would rather not do that again.
Thanks for any help,
Adam

Welcome to the Palm Forums,
The iSync program is from Apple, unfortunately we don't know much on how to install that software to have the device sync to your iCal and iContacts. I recommend that you talk to Apple and have them help you install this software. Others on the bored though may have more of an idea on how to get this up and running for you.
If you have any more questions, please message back so we can help you.

Hi adamdsimmons,
Welcome to the Palm forums. I'm sorry to hear about your problem, but we should be able to get this fixed. Start with this KB article: http://www.palm.com/cgi-bin/cso_kbURL.cgi?ID=2630
This should get you up and running and if it doesn't, post back here with the HotSync log.

Hello Ridius. Thanks for your reply on my trouble with enabling palm syncing in iSync. I looked at the link that you suggested, but I have actually been able to sync successfully using the palm software. However, Apple's iSync reports that the hotsync software is not properly installed or has never been opened. This is preventing it from installing the iSync conduit. I imagine one solution would be to manually place the conduit in the appropriate folder in Library/Application Support/Palm Hotsync/Conduits, but I don't have a conduit to move into the folder. Thanks

Well, this is the hard part. The iSync conduits are actually provided by apple, not Palm, so I don't have a lot of experience with them. Here's what I would suggest.
