Centro rebooting when I try to open calendar or contacts everytime

phone reboots when trying to access contacts and calendar. - all the time.  verizon sent me a new centro and still the same thing.  I checked to confirm that the calendar and contacts worked before I hotsynced.  After I hotsynced, I am back to where I was before.

I hope I have posted in right place.

I downloaded dbFix2 and eliminated the duplicates that it told me about without paying for the software. I eliminated the duplicate calendar dates and contacts manually.   If someone has used this and the problem was solved by having the software do it automatically, please let me know.

Is it possible I have too much info on my palm?  I have had a palm for over ten years.

I have 1.03 on phone
mac 10.5.8 operating system

the palm desktop is 4.2.1

Re: Centro rebooting when I try to open calendar or contacts everytime

OK, after spending 2 hours on the phone with verizon and then, getting transferred to a Sandy in India, I no longer have rebooting when going into contacts and calendar. This is what worked for me. Not sure which part of this cleared my problem though.

Do a hard reset and completely clear centro (which I have done before).

Restart MacBook completely and make sure nothing else is open on your computer.  If hotsync manager is open close that too (this I did not do before).

Go into conduit settings and click on what you really want to sync to your phone.  I did not do voice memo and a few others.  On the ones you want, change to "macbook over writes handheld".

Close up conduit settings and everything else.

Now, connect cable to usb port and to centro.

Press hotsync button on black cable.

When completed, totally close up everything and disconnect cable.

At this point, I can now go into calendar or contacts without the centro automatically turning off and turning on.:smileyvery-happy:

My phone groups are gone and so are my favorites buttons and pages though.  Any ideas?

So, the solution was either turning the macbook off completely and having everything else closed or it was switching the conduit settings.  Maybe there was a corruption somewhere in one of the categories such as Contacts or the calendar.  What I have learned is that you can hotsync one by one individually to your phone, and then, check to see if your phone functions properly after each sync to determine which area is corrupt on your phone.

Any thoughts or tips on this or anything related?
