Change users

My MacBook Pro is running 10.5.8.  I've had to replace my old Z22 because the battery went kaput.  When I tried to re-sync the new unit I discovered that I had two users: one which I've determined has all of the data ("William") and one that had been started but never had any data inputted ("Bill").

I made the mistake of choosing "Bill" and did the Hot Sync to it.  Since there's nothing there I deleted the "Bill" account, but now can't get Hot Sync to link up w/"William".  How do I change users?

Re: Change users

You will need to hard reset your Z22, Hotsync and choose the correct name.

When you hotsync, the name you choose during the sync will be setup on your Z22. If you look in the top right corner of the hotsync screen on your Z22, it will show the username the Z22 is sync'ing with. It probably shows "Bill".

The hard reset will erase all data on the device.

Re: Change users

It didn't work entirely - things finally transferred the third time I did the reset, but the photos didn't.  That seems odd since I saw all of the photo names going through the "synchronizing" phase.  How do I get them to transfer in?

Re: Change users

Have you checked to make sure the conduit is enabled for the photos?

Here is the section from a support article regarding photos on the MAC.

Mac OS X

Use the Send to Handheld droplet to transfer photos from your Mac to your handheld. They will also be copied to the special backup location on your Mac:

Mac Hard Drive : Users : (Mac user) : Documents : Palm : Users : (handheld user name) : Photos : offline copy location : Internal
or
Home : Documents : Palm : Users : (handheld user name) : Photos : offline copy location : Internal

You'll see one folder for each category (album) on your handheld.

Try another sync after checking the conduits and that your photos are queued for sync'ing in the send to HH droplet.
