Desperately Seeking Answers… PLEASE?!?!?

:womanmad:I am very sorry for the whining and whimpering, everyone, but I am literally at many wits end. I have spent the last 3 days trying to get my Zire 72 to sync with my Mac G5, with no luck whatsoever. Not that there isn't a lot of info to be had on the subject on this board - from what I can tell, y'all are very good at sussing this stuff out. I have tried several different things that were suggested here, but so far, nothing has quite succeeded for me.

I have tried to use Bluetooth; have paired, unpaired, and re-paired the PDA & the Mac; I have tried the USB cable connection from every possible USB port on the computer, the keyboard, the back of the monitor, you name it - no luck. What I THINK may be happening (HA! Thinking, right, as if THAT were even possible after 3 days of this!) I continue to get an error message about the Transport Monitor couldn't do what I asked and a number 16 in parentheses. I have very carefully removed all the specified files (I believe it was in Alan G's response) reinstalled the program from the Palm REv 42 or whatever (did all that 3 separate times) and STILL the Demon of Disappointment continues to stalk me! I've just about torn out all my hair over this, and yet I feel that the answer is just the teensiest little bit out of my reach and with just the right nudge, birds would sing, the sun would shine, world peace would be declared and I would finally, FINALLY, be able to HotSync right along with the best of them!   If I sound just a bit hysterical, its only because I am. (Breaks down and weeps agonizingly whilst banging her head on her keyboard.):womansad:  If anyone, ANYONE could help me, I swear that I will worship at your feet for the rest of both of our lives!

Thank you all for allowing me to rant, and my deepest thanks for ANY assistance you are able to offer me.

Re: Desperately Seeking Answers… PLEASE?!?!?

I used the almighty Search Function here on the forum (searched "Transport Monitor") and found many hits!  Have you read through all of them?

This one for example?
