Re: PALM m515 / iMac /Hotsync

Dear All,

I have now replaced the battery in my palm m515, and the handheld has come back to life.

When I Hotsync it all seems to be going well--all the messages including the familiar audio--but I don't get the

transfer of data either way.

Any suggestions please?

Zack

If you don't tell us what the problem is, we cannot help you!

Also, this thread is discussing a different device - the m515.  Your question is off-topic, and should be in a new thread.  Try using the Search function on the forum to look for your problem.  Most likely the question has already been asked!

Re: PALM m515 / iMac /Hotsync

Hi ,

I have a similar sort of problem.

I want to move all my data to a new apple iphone 4.

A month or so ago I worked out how to save my calendar and addresses as Vcal and Vdata files which will successfully synch with ical and icontacts, so was happy to plan for the move without losing my calendar and address data.

In the interim I have continued to use my palm but have now bought the iphone.

Today I performed a hotsynch ready to transfer up to date info, but the log seems to show OK for install, isynch, voice memo, note pad, memo pad, install and backup but not for all the usual addresses, datebook and logbook as previously.

I looked at the log which is complicated and long, but towards the end says ' loading conflict notifier'. I have performed several hot-synchs over the last month and just assumed it were functioning as normal.

So in summary, my handheld has all the data I want to hotsynch to Mac, but have I accidentally changed a setting? or did creating a Vcal and Vdata file turn of the address and calendar hotsynch?

I do hope someone can help as it was going so well up until now!

Thanks
