What OS version is on your computer?
What version of Palm Desktop?
Have you tried a Soft Reset yet?
How are you connected to the computer? Is the HotSync Manager set to this setting?

Sorry I put my question in the wrong place. I am using Windows XP. My Palm is a Z22. I have re-booted my computer, if that is what you mean by a soft reset. I have no more answers - don't know about my hot-sync manager.
A Soft Reset is performed on your Z22. Look for the tiny "Reset" button on the back of the device and press it with the tip of your stylus or a straightened paper clip.
This will reboot your Palm. Try a HotSync again.
The HotSync Manager is what your computer runs to connect to the Z22. Do you see the little HotSync icon in the bottom right tool tray? If not, you can't connect. Go here:
Start Button/All Programs/Palm/HotSync Manager. Selecting this should load the HotSync Manager.
I'd help you with the HotSync Manager, but you neglected to answer my question about "Which version of Palm Desktop?" ![]()
