Hello, hope I am doing this right, it is my first post. I am trying to find a way to sync my pre w/64 bit Vista. Have been told that 64 bit is not supported (due to USB connection of sync). There is some mention of a Bluetooth connection, so I guess I am asking if anyone has tried to connect w/a Bluetooth device their computer ? I know I am old fashioned, but at the end of the work week I just like to have everything back in my home computer. if anyone has any advice i would like to hear from you. Thanks Vicki

Are you using a Palm Pre? Or another Palm device?
The Palm Pre does not sync to any computer inherently but there is third party software that can sync the Pre to a local PC. If this is another Palm Device this link should help you with the setup of the hotsync

Two things this link does not cover is what Palm Desktop version you need to use and how to setup Palm Desktop to hotsync with a device.
This link is Palm Desktop 6.2.2 and works for Vista http://kb.palm.com/wps/portal/kb/common/article/32

I have my T|X partially syncing with a Win 7 beta (64 bit) with bluetooth. I bought a $15 bluetooth adapter from Dell, and it was easy to set up, comparatively. I'm still having some problems and hope to get them sorted out after I post the lurid details - but bluetooth was cheap and easy, and I'm pretty sure the problem lies in the fact that the Palm is a used one and that there is a software problem going on here somewhere.
At least, I hope so.

Have you tried syncing via Wifi? Vista64 works without anything extra if both the TX and PC are on the same network...
See my post in the Windows HotSync board on Syncing a TX to Vista 64...

I have just managed to get a Sony Clie TH55 to sync to my PC which is running 64bit Windows 7.
I had to use Bluetooth as, like the others on this post, the drivers for the USB cable connection would not work. It is painfully slow compared to the cable option but better than nothing.
I would also like to see if this would work using the Wi-FI option discussed in this thread. Any chance I could get the link to the info?
I am also going to see if I can get a T3 to workas well. If I can I will try and write a "how to" for the forum (If one does not exist yet).

I now have connection to my windows7 64 bit O.S. through the cable. I can sync and use PDA Net with my Palm Verizon Centro. Happy Days! I had to upgrade from Home to Professional, but it was worth it! Yes, we can just whine about Palm not solving the problem for us, but if you'd rather just solve the problem, Microsoft took care of it for us.
