First of all I'm new here, and to the Palm product. I am a Nursing student and was given a Palm M500 with a disk loaded with info I can use for school. The problem is evidently there is to much info to fit on the Palm. I would like to load the info onto a SD card and be able to access it on the Palm. Does the Palm use a specific SD type card, because none of the SD cards I have are recognized in it. So what do I do? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Oh, also each time I try a hotsync I get the message not enough memory so I figure If I put the info from the disk on a new card then load it into the Palm I can retrieve it all, is this correct? Thanks in advance for any help. To bad it won't load on my Ipod.

The type and maximum size of SD card used by PalmOS devices can be found here:
http://kb.palm.com/wps/portal/kb/common/article/34
There you'll find the M5xx series can use only a standard SD card (not "SD HC") and it can't be any larger than 1GB.

Thanks WyreNut,
I knew if I came to the forums I would get good info, always great people in the forums with the best info. Once again I was proven correct. Thanks for your time and attention to my request. I'll pick up a 1gb card tomorrow seems all I have are 2's and 4's here. So with this new card I can now learn how to use this old Palm, and maybe make the medical info available that is one the disk available, great.
