The installation disk for our palmone desktop for the Tungsten E2 is broke. I was looking at the downloads but the problem is we have one laptop that is a Windows 2000 and another that is a Windows 7. I didn't see one that was compatible with what I needed. For expample, it says the Palm Desktop 6.2 is compatible with the Tungsten E2 but not the correct windows setting. I'm not sure what to do and we use these palms everyday on the farm and it's causing a bit of a problem not having them.

So, what are you doing right now? Is the Windows 7 computer new?
Using two different versions of Palm Desktop on two different laptops should be OK. When you sync with two computers, you should only be using one of them for full 2-way sync anyway, the other should only be used as a clone (by setting the conduits on that computer to Handheld Overwrites Desktop). This Palm Knowledgebase Article discusses how to Hotsync one device on two different desktops:

You could try installing PD 4.1.4e on the Windows 7 computer, but chances are, the Quick Install tool (that installs applications and files via Hotsync onto the handheld) won't work, which is why PD 6.2.2 was released for Vista-compatibility in the first place.
If you give the community some more insight as to what you use the handhelds for, what kind of applications and data, one or two-way sync, etc., it would help.

Yes the Windows 7 computer is new. We're not using it at all because we were unable to sync our palms to it. I can't recall the exact reason but I'm pretty sure it had something to do with it being a 64 bit. We would prefer to just use the Windows 7 though and get rid of the 2000.
We are using Pcdart on the computer and the pocketdairy on the palms. We enter all of the breeding data onto the palms and everything else onto the main computer. So I guess that makes it a 2 way sync?..
