I had two versions of Palm on my computer at the same time. Now just Access.
Datebook still has previous calendar and won't sync my calendar events.
How do I get rid of the other calendat file?

Are you referring to 2 versions of Palm Desktop, 2 different usernames or 2 different devices using the same version of palm desktop?
When you have calendar and datebook files that usually indicates you have upgrade to a new handheld from an old dvice that had the datebook application instead of calendar.
Did you upgrade from and older handheld model?
Is the previous calendar in the current username in Palm Desktop?
You can delete the calendar info. in the username folder on the PC.

I just replaced my Tungsten E2 with a new one.
(Perhaps unfortunately, I experimented with iSync , now there's an iSync conduit I can't get rid of.)
When I sync with HotSync everything downloads except my calendar data, which is of course what I mainly use.
I have tried turning off everthing in the conduit manager. Still wont dowload calendar data.
I use datebook5, which I would be happy to get rid of. When I deleted it, the calendar still wouldn't download.
Any idea what my problem is? The existing Date Book is sitting there on my Palm Desktop, v 4.2.1, but not on the E2.

There may be database corruption causing the issue. Click on the following link for the program called DbFixiT. This program has a trial version that you can download and install on your Palm OS device. The trial version will scan for database corruption and then report the corruption. You can then find the records causing the problem and fix them yourself or you can purchase the program and have it automatically fix the records.

When sync'ing the program to the Handheld, turn off the calendar conduit. After repairing the records on the handheld, turn on the calendar conduit and set it for handheld overwrites desktop.

All of a sudden, my TX date book would not sync to my Windows Vista operation system anymore. It worked fine for a while then it stopped. I took the advice and went to http://www.pimlicosoftware.com/dbfixit.htm to download DbFixiT but it would not install on my TX.
I need some help and guidance.

jkwhyd,
Did you download the Windows.exe file or the zipped file? You need to unzip or click on the windows.exe file to get the .prc files.
Click on the following link for the install instructions.

I've got a similar problem with my TX. Everything was okay until I had to do a hard reset and reinstall everything. Now I have a functional datebook on my TX but it won't synch back to the main computer (Windows XP Pro). I downloaded and installed DbFixit, but it apparently looks only at the TX and it thinks everything is okay.
Any ideas on how to fix this?

Have you looked at the hotsync conduits and see if they are set to synchronize the files?
Check the conduits first. If they are set ok, you may need to "clean" uninstall Plam desktop and re-install. Search the forums for, clean uninstall palm desktop on XP. If you have your data in Palm desktop, you may want to export your data prior to the uninstall.
The best way to preserve your data is to export the data in each category in Palm Desktop to a seperate folder on your PC.
Create a new folder on your PC somewhere that is convenient. Name it something like Palm Desktop Data. Click on the link below and follow the instructions on that page for the export procedure.
http://www.palm.com/cgi-bin/cso_kbURL.cgi?ID=28734
Make sure you select all for the range in the export window.
With the data saved in the folder you created, make a copy of that folder and save to a flash drive, cd-rw or external hard drive.
Anytime you make a change in Palm Desktop, export the data that was changed to that folder and save again to the external media.
With this process you can always import the data back into Palm Desktop anytime you have a problem with the data in Palm Desktop or if your computer/hard drive/device crashes.
