Desktop 4.2 versus 6.x - Features / Comparison?

I've seen a number of postings regarding issues with the Palm desktop v. 6.x, but I'm wondering if there is anything posted comparing the differences in features and performance between the 4.x and 6.x desktops?

In short, what are the differences and are there any real advantages to moving to Desktop 6.x (assuming it can be installed without any issues).  FYI: I'm running on an XP system and have no need to worry about 64 bit issues at this time.

Thanks,

Re: Desktop 4.2 versus 6.x - Features / Comparison?

Palm Desktop 6.2.2 was created specifically for Windows Vista compatibility. In earlier versions of PD, the app install tool does not work on Vista or, I believe, Windows 7 (i.e. you can't I stall apps via Hotsync). Also, 6.2.2 does not allow color-coding of calendar events, which is highly irksome to people who like that ability.

I, too, am still on an XP machine. There is no reason for you to use PD 6.2.2, as it is not an "upgrade".
