Opened zip file of "Palm Desktop by ACCESS" and executed it - EVERY BIT OF MY CONTACTS & CALENDAR data is LOST!! ALL previous CALENDAR data is lost! Can anyone, PLEASE, help me to RESTORE ALL this INVALUABLE DATA, Please?!?

I thought I was just unloading an upgrade, for my Palm Tungsten E desktop software, as I unzipped and executed this compressed file.

 

ALL MY PERSONAL DATA IS GONE.  Contact and Calendar.  I cannot find the data in the Wastebasket.  I cannot find any ARCHIVED Palm FILES.  HOW can this be?  How can it have LOST all my years of existing Data?  Please, please can anyone help me to restore all this invaluable personal data? 

 

Your advice would be ENORMOUSLY appreciated!

 

I've used PALM software since 1995, about, for Pete's sake!  Nothing like this I though, COULD ever happen?!

What is the OS of your computer? Windows or MAC? I see you stated "wastebasket" is this referring to the "Trash" on a MAC?

 

Do you still have your data on the handheld? If you do, you could change the hotsync conduits to handheld overwrites desktop and then sync.
