Palm Desktop by Access deleting contacts

I have a Tungsten e2, I use Palm Desktop by Access version 6.2 and use hotsync manager version 7 with Windows 7. I recently updated he Palm Desktop software to the Access version 6.2 since then it has started to delete about 2/3 of my contacts every so often. When I run software to show deleted files so i can restore them they do not show up as being deleted. I can sync or import to restore them so that's not the question. I would like to know why it keeps deleting them and how do I make it stop.

Biggest reported problem with Palm Desktop 6.2.2 is turning off your computer with the program still open.  This can cause the issue you describe.

 

Always close the program properly before powering down or rebooting.
