Palm TX does not charge entire battery

When I charge my Palm TX by plugging it into the computer USB port, I notice the battery does not fully charge. It charges up to about 75% full.

 

I bought the Palm TX used, is this why it is not fully charging? Would I be able to get a new battery? Should I try a new charger?

The chances are good that the battery is just showing its age. Try an "in-cradle" reset (search the support site, I cannot use my macro to give you the link because this site's macros don't work on the TouchPad...grrr...).

Look to www.directfix.com or Chris Short on eBay (user name "itsnothere") for battery replacement.

Also, many computer USB ports will provide only a "trickle charge". I'd suggest using the correct charger designed for the device.
