Palm desktop won't open for Tungsten e2

I have a Tungsten e2, with version 6.2. Handheld works perfectly, and hot syncs. I have a pc with WindowsXP-SP3 Internet Explorer 7. BUT, I cannot open the Palm desktop on my pc, and the pc works perfectly. No one uses the handheld or pc but me, and I am the administrator.I have had this problem for the last few weeks. What should I do?

I don't know why it's not opening, but my real question to you is "Why on earth are you using 6.2.2 with XP?"

 

6.2.2 was designed for Vista and beyond.  4.x (which came with your device) works fine with XP, and IMHO is superior to 6.2.2...

 

If it were my device, I'd uninstall 6.2.2 and go back to 4.x.  Use your installation disk, or download 4.2 from my "Reading the Manual" link below.
