Palm OS/WinMo Software

So, when I was moving from Texas to Oklahoma, I ended up breaking the CD which came with my Palm Zire, and apparantly the CD had my only up-to-date copy of Documents to Go. I'm currently making do with DtG 4.0, which came with my Sony Clie, but I'd rather be able to use the up-to-date version that came with my PDA.

Does anybody know of a way I can get an extra copy of the setup CD? I'm using a Palm Zire 72.

UPDATE (August 2008): We have recently been made aware that Palm does not sell replacement software installation discs. This policy is due primarily to third-party software license restrictions.

In the event your original disc is lost or damaged, or if you bought a used device and it didn't come with an original disc, your options are to either use the Palm Desktop and Hotsync Manager software versions which are available for free download from the Palm Support site (which downloads do not include certain features and bonus software that came on the disc), or to try to find an original replacement disc elsewhere.

Alternate third-party sites to check are:

www.usedpdaparts.com
www.ebay.com

The first two sites are reputable businesses with positive track records among Palm users. If you buy from an eBay seller, be sure you are getting an original disc, not a copy, and not a disc with the free downloadable software.

If your device is new or still within the retail warranty period, and your original installation disc is faulty, you can try contacting Palm Customer Care for a replacement. We have heard of some users getting just a replacement disc this way, while other users report that Palm had them return the whole device just to replace a faulty installation disc. Go to:  Gizmos2Go.com   I just ordered a Software Installation CD for my Zire 72.  It was around $10 + s&h and came within a week.  Appears to be an authentic PalmOne product.  This allows transfer of photos from PDA to PC which the web download version did not.

Did you ever get a replacement CD?

I'm in the same situation, and I emailed Support. They told me to contact the Palm Store to purchase another CD. But when I called the Palm Store, the rep said they don't sell replacement installation CDs. (This is not the first time that Support has not known what they're talking about. It's par for the course, in my experience.)

So now I'm stuck with a LifeDrive that has no LD Manager, an essential component.

If you Haven't gotten already you can go to:

UsedPDAParts.com

Click on zire at the bottom, and they should have a replacement cd. The same thing happened to me but i have a tungsten E.

I just purchased the Palm installation CD from eBay. It cost about $2 plus about $8 in shipping.

HELP!  I just bought a new Treo 680 and I want to install the Palm Desktop software.  However, my CD drive is busted and cannot read the CD that was provided.  Is there any way to download this software off the Internet?

Please help me. I have an old Handspring Visor and need sync software, free if possible. Where can I get this?
