Importing from laptop to desktop

I am having difficulty importing my calendar .PDB files from an old laptop to my new Windows 7/Palm Desktop vs. 6.2.2.  This new system is looking for .dba files.  Can you help?

Re: Importing from laptop to desktop

More info:  I do not have the old device to hot sync to my desktop, so that isn't a option.  I just want to pull old calendar postings from another user file to be imported to my new desktop computer (which is set up to sync with my Tungsten T5 which is irrelavant to my dilema).  I have copied the user file to my new computer waiting to figure out how this newer version can accept the older file.

Re: Importing from laptop to desktop

To use the Import function, you have to use the Export function on the first computer.

Open the Calendar on the older computer, then go up to File/Export.  This will produce the .dba file the second computer is looking for.

Just an FYI - with the advent of the 64bit drivers from Aceeca, you can use Palm Desktop 4.x on Windows 7 computers.  See the Windows hotsync section for details.

Re: Importing from laptop to desktop

Thank you so very much.  I am embarrased.  Even with 29 years in the corporate world using computers all my career, I can't believe that the obvious was not in mind.  I thought I had to copy the files and paste.  Thank goodness for support forums and the kindness of those who want to take time and help.  I am all set now.
