Hello, my sister just got a new Palm Centro from the USA, it's an AT&T unlocked GSM. I wanted to switch it to Italian, I made a hard reset but found only English and Spanish available. Is there an easy way to install Italian language on this phone? Is it possible to copy the Italian system from my old Palm Centro (unlocked GSM)? Please note I'm not an expert user!
Post relates to: Centro (Unlocked GSM)

Unfortunately, I know of no way to change the language on your Centro to Italian, that I am aware of. You would need to purchase a phone that is GSM unlocked to get different language selection options.
You can search the internet to see if someone has found a way to flash the phone to an unlocked GSM version.

Thank you so much for your reply. I think the phone is already gsm unlocked, because it works with an Italian SIM card.

You're welcome.
The phone is locked to AT&T. You would need to purchase an unlocked GSM Centro that is not tied to any carrier. Since your Centro is branded with AT&T, it is not a truely "Unlocked" phone. It is an AT&T GSM Centro. If it was GSM unlocked, it would not have a carrier associated with the phone. You can use a GSM SIM card but the phone is still associated with AT&T's specs and their programming. You would need to find an "unlocked" GSM Centro in order to select Italian during the setup process for the first use of the phone.
Click on the following link for the support page for the Centro where you can select the carrier. You will see the AT&T and the Unlocked listed. http://kb.hpwebos.com/wps/portal/kb/na/deviceselec
