Hi all:
Hopefully I can get a hand here. Moved my palm profile from a Pre2 on T-Mobile USA to the HP Veer on AT&T yesterday. All synergy accounts work fine except Facebook - the "Syncing Account" notification just stays there for hours, but no sync ever occurs. I've tried both over HSPA and WiFi.
Anyone got any ideas?
Thanks!

Hi, and welcome to the Support Community. Looks to me like your question is the first Veer question.
I don't have a Veer quite yet (hopefully any day...
) but, the first thing I would try doing is to restart the device through the Device app, then trying to add the FB account again.

Thank you, smkranz, both for the welcome and the suggestion!
I should have mentioned in my original post that I've tried removing, then re-adding the account - it doesn't appear to have had any effect. Neither has changing my Facebook account back to http from https.

I expect someone will come along soon with some suggestions. Hang tight...

Couple of questions, and then suggested solution:
Did/Do you have the Facebook application installed?
What do you mean, exactly, by "Neither has changing my Facebook account back to http from https." (those should only apply to hitting Facebook via the browser).
Try the following steps:
1. If you have the facebook application installed, remove it.
2. Start the Accounts Application, tap Facebook, then Remove Account.
3. This process appears to be done fairly quickly, but actually takes some time depending on how many friends and events you have on facebook. I'd suggest waiting 15-20 minutes to ensure everything has been removed.
4. You can start Contacts and look at the contact icons. This will give some indication when the facebook contacts have been removed.
5. Restart your phone.
6. Start the Accounts Applications and tap Facebook. Just like removing, when the Syncing Accounts icon disappears there is still background things going on. Once again, checking Contacts icons helps to see when it appears to be done syncing your facebook info over.
7. If all looks well, now you can re-install the Facebook application.
Unfortunately, if the above doesn't work, my next suggestion would be:
1. Erase Apps & Data (this will leave any music/files on your USB area alone)
2. Go through First Use again, this time through don't enter credentials for any of your saved accounts at that time.
3. Let the phone restart, and restore all of your applications and Palm Profile data,
4. Start Accounts and REMOVE the Facebook account, then add it again from scratch.
Since you don't mention any other accounts having syncing issues, you should be ok entering in the credentials for those accounts after you get Facebook up and going.
Hope this helps, and please come back here and let us know how it goes.

PDAGuy, thanks very much for your in-depth troubleshooting response. To answer your questions:
I did have the Facebook application installed while I was having this problem.
What I meant by the https comment was that I went into my Facebook account using a computer and disabled the "use HTTPS connection when possible" option. The HTTPS option has been causing some problems with the webOS Facebook app (pictures not displaying, etc.) so I thought maybe it was also causing problems with Facebook-related Synergy.
The problem did end up getting resolved before I had to resort to extreme measures. What I did:
The phone synced for a while (can't say how long) and a few hours later my FB photos were there and I verified through other means that sync was complete.
I can't say whether it was using WiFi, changing my password, or disabling HTTPS preferences that finally fixed the problem, but my hunch leans toward the latter, as my FB app now works well (photos appear, where they didn't before).
Thanks for your help, again, PDAGuy!
