Hi, I am running an unlocked AT&T Pre3 on the Bell Canada network and the one thing that I have found that varies from the Pre minus on the phone app is how you enter extension numbers in contacts app.
With the Pre minus, I used p to indicate a pause and hold... extension number would show on the screen but would not be triggered until I manually touched the number on the screen. This was great to be able to call offices both during the day (when receptionist answers) and in the evening. It also gave you a visual reminder so that you could ask receptionist for extension number rather than persons name if you were not sure how to pronounce.
The Pre 3 uses a p in the phone number as a pause and then automatically dials the extension number which no doubt has pissed off a few receptionists since I got the phone. This function used to be defined by a "t" on the Pre minus.
Does anyone know what to use to get the original functionality back where the extension number is shown on screen but not dialled automatically?
Thanks

Figured it out myself...
"p" now acts as a pause (was "t" on Pre minus 1.4.5)
"w" now acts as display extension (was "p" on Pre minus 1.4.5)
Not sure why if it was being changed HP wouldn't use the industry standard "x". Now to change 1400 contacts.

This post relates to Pre 2 as well running 2.1.0
I tested it on a colleagues phone and it behaves the same way as the pre 3. I assume that the VEER will be the same.
