Very strange ...
I try to sync my Pre2 Calendar with a Google Calendar.
1/ When I write a new event in Google, it comes in the Pre's Calendar, sometimes fast, but sometimes it takes several hours, sometimes even a full day or more.
When I write a new event in my Pre, it duplicates in the Pre and in Google. Not 2 or 3 but 10, 12 and more... in the Pre and in Google. So it becomes not readable. And sometimes it is like it is not syncing. After several hours (or more then a day) it is synced, ... and duplicated several times too.
2/ other problem: because off all these mistakes in my calendar I deleted the google account in my Pre2 and after restarting the device I added the account back. Very strange: since then the Pre did just tale the events for 3 months. One month before, the current month, and one month later.
When I made a new account on Google (so with a new username), filled these new acconu witjh my calendar data, and added these account on my Pre2, alle events did come back. But problem 1/ stays!
There are still other problems with these calendar, but 1/ and 2/ are the post important. The others are for another thread.
It's making my calendar not usefull. So I keep my old Centro in my pocket to have a calendar which I can trust.

Hello.
I'm also suffering the first problem you describe in my Pre 2.
As a workaround, I delete all the duplicate events in the phone, but one of them. Then, I change the account associated to the event to my Exchange account or to the Palm profile, and then I change it again to Google. I'm not sure this always works, but I think so.
This is a great problem Palm should solve in the next release.
Regads.

It's actually a relief to read someone describe very similar problems to those that I'm experiencing with the Pre 2 calendar.
Google-to-Pre is fine. Pre-to-Google works OK immediately after a hard reset. Soon, though, multiple entries for the same new event start appearing. Then no new events or amendments to existing ones get through at all. I realise now that much the same applies to contacts.
Sync with my Google calendars works perfectly on my iPad and, indeed, was fine on my Pixi Plus. So there must be bugs in webOS 2.0. The questions now are these. (1) When will Palm fix these bugs? (2) Is it worth my wasting yet more time with Palm support in trying to resolve the issue? Maybe not.
As for the two-month time limit on future events that sync to the Pre, that is not a bug: this is deliberate. (I'm pretty sure it didn't apply to my Pixi, so I think this too must be new to webOS 2.0.) Needless to say, a calendar in which you can only see events two months into the future is of extremely limited use, and would have been a dealbreaker had I known about it before buying the Pre 2. I can only hope that Palm sees sense and changes this in the next update.
All this is such a shame, because, otherwise, the Pre 2 is really an excellent phone.

BTW, I've just seen that this problem also afects to contacts. My Pre 2 has duplicated 239 times one of them, and 23 times another one.
It seems a serious bug in Google sync code.

Yes, I agree!
I have been struggling with this for the past weeks, and it is a real pain! It hampers the basic usage of the device.
The first time it occurred I have had to delete all the entries in my Google calendar as there were so many that Google couldn't fix it one by one. Needless to say, this isn't something I care to do again.
This need to be fixed ASAP, let's hope that Support will take of it soon!

Same problem here also. Really annoying. I just switched from Pre to Pre 2, and suddenly this problem appears. I wonder if Palm reads these pages and are aware of it.

+1 for both problems.
The sync bugs are extremely annoying and so is the limited sync window.
A Palm guy wrote at PreCentral, that the limitation is because of performance but I did not have performance problems with 1.4.5 and a calendar syncing with no limits (> 5 years of data).

I have found a solution here. Slightly drastic, but it solves the problem : go from Google to Yahoo! calender. I have tested it, and it works effortlessly. So, for those that are THINKING of using multiple calenders on WebOS2.0, create them on Yahoo! instead of Google.

"it works effortlessly"
you mean: no duplicates and/or no 3 months window?

No duplicates
Updates Yahoo! if you update the Pre 2
Updates the Pre 2 if you update Yahoo!
I didn't test the time span initially, but did it now. This is how it works :
All calender events created on the Pre 2 are added to Yahoo! regardless of time ahead. However, those that are farther ahead than +2 months, do not show up afterwards on the Pre 2.
Example :
Today is February 16th. I added different events on the Pre2 and Yahoo! on the same day for ;
1. Today
2. Next week
3. A day in March
4. A day in April earlier than the 16th
5. A day in May
6. A day in August
7. A day in December
I get both events on both platforms for 1) 2) 3) and 4). For 5) 6) and 7) I get both events on Yahoo! only - Pre2 shows nothing.
