I had a Tungsten e2 given to me by my daughter-in-law. All of her stuff was still on it. I already had Palm Desktop installed on my XP system from a Handspring Visor with my information on it. I tried synching many times and her information stayed on the handheld even though I took her off the desktop as a user. Every time I try to synch, no matter what I do, her name is listed as the user during the synch and ends up on the desktop again when done. I got to the point where I manually deleted all of her stuff I could find off the handheld, but now it is still wanting to synch to her information, except I deleted it. I cannot get my information on the handheld even though I used the desktop overwrites the handheld under options. I have no idea where her name is stored in the handheld so I can change it. How do I get MY information transferred to the handheld? I've been at this for 2 days now and it's driving me nuts!!
Thanks.

do a Hard Reset which wipes the handheld clean. Then Sync. It should ask you which Hotsync ID you wish to sync with. Select yours. Good luck.

What about any programs that are on the handheld? The information on the desktop is basic compared to what is on the handheld, right?

I can't believe this!! Even after a reset, I get the same thing! After I do a reset and want to do a synch, the hadheld says it is looking for a user, but the desktop asks if I want to open a new file on the desktop. If I say no, it won't do anything. If I say yes, it starts a synch and immediately applies my daughter-in-law's name and wants to put her information, which I deleted, on the desktop - she appears again as an owner/ user. If I'm telling it to use the Custom option where I tell it to have the desktop overwrite the handheld, why am I getting this? Which of the topics should I have changed in the Custom menu for this to go through properly? STILL, none of my information is going to the handheld.

It's hard to realize this thing has the capability of doing 3 different kinds of resets. I finally resorted to a HARD rest and was on my way.
