First: Don't want to edit files and feel like trusing a random stranger?

Youtube Video walkthrough for installing.
You might not need to install the conduit update, but it doesn't hurt to.
Install the 2007 Conduit Update before you do the following (If you have upgraded to office 2010 from office 2007, re-install the conduit so it can be registered in Outlook)
Then:
USE MY NEW INSTALLER!
Or you can go to the Do-it-yourself page on my site.
If this helped you, let me know!
X64 Outlook WILL NOT WORK.
This is because Outlook X64 will not load 32Bit plugins. Until I finish my class on i386 Assembly, I won't be able to get a workaround finished.
THERE IS NO FIX YET, JUST INSTALL x86 Office instead, sorry.
There is one more step that may be required:
Open Hotsync Manager
Click on the Applications tab on the left
Find each item that you are currently syncing with Outlook
Click on it, and click "Configure"
Click "settings" and verify everything is right
Click "OK" when everything is correct.
The reason for that is to reset the Palm Hotsync's settings to tell it that you're now using a compatible version of Outlook.
Didn't see this anywhere else, so I'll post it here and all over the web to help others.

Great fix, I just upgraded to window 7 and outlook 2010 and run into the same issue with hotsync. I was ready to roll back to winXP and office 2007 because I love my Palm os Treo's. I didn't really want to edit outlook and run into issues down the road, especially since the problem is hotsync, not outlook.
I would also add that I had to change the security settings for ocpConduitsUI.dll and ocpNotifier.dll so I could save my changes.
to do this go to:
Start>computer>C:drive(or your drive where the os is installed)>program Files>Palm> find ocpConduitUI.dll and right click then select properties. on the general tab uncheck the read only box and hit apply. On the security tab click edit then select Users from the upper box in the lower box "permissions for Users" check "Allow" box next to Full Control. Hit Apply then OK.
Repeat for the ocpNotifer.dll
then open a hex editor and make the changes listed by Pizzaboy192.
Here is the Text Editor that I used:
Thanks Pizzaboy192 for sharing this...I'm not ready to dump my Palm yet!!

Please let me know ASAP if it works with Outlook x64. Thank you.

I am still testing the X64 outlook (mostly because I am having issues with my VM software)
I'll try to get it finished by the end of today and post my results. (Contrary to popular belief, college students don't have unlimited free time.)

Well... I put about an hour of work into this issue, and I can currenlty tell you: no. It won't work with Outlook X64 (yet)
I'm looking for the file that looks for the actual outlook location. If I can find that, I can tell it to look somewhere else and hopefully patch that too.
