I tried your solution. I edited the two files and changed "12" to "14" one time in each file. I get the same results; the sync looks normal, the message at the end telss me it was successful, but the data is not passed from Outlook to the E2 or vice versa. I'm using Windows 7 64-bit OS. Could that make a difference?

Could you post the log that Hotsync provides when it syncs? I can then look at it and see if there is something set wrong.
Sorry for getting back so late, was on vacation.
I will check to see why the files were missing.

Here's what I got. Apparently, I'm using a wrong profile, although I can't figure out how to change it.
The messge reads: This handheld is associated with a different Outlook profile. To synchronize with that profile, close Outlook and synchronize again. To use this device with a current Outlook profile, open the HotSync custom dialog and change the conduit settings to use this Outlook profile.
I can't find the dialog box where I tell it to use Outlook etc.

When you open the Hotsync window, you can find the different conduits.
Seeing as I don't have Hotsync installed anymore (I haven't used the T|X with a PC for a few months) I would appreciate it if you still have issues, to include some screenshots of where you are stuck. (Helps me remember where to click)

pizzaboy192,
I tried to use your instructions to fix my Treo680 so that it will sync my Outlook after doing a master reset that iliminated all of my data and put me back to the original Palm factory settings.
Since I am not a techy, I tried to load the Hex Editor and tried to change both ocp.notifier.dll and ocp.conduitUI.dll to the 14.0 version but I could not figure that out on my own.
I have Vista, Outlook 2007, Palm windows software update 2.11 and hot sync manager. When I tried to sync to Outlook after the master reset it will only sync my old contacts I had in my Palm contacts but not the Outlook contacts and Calendar, etc.
Any suggestions you have will be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Ken

I did find it, thanks! Sorry, I wasn't looking in the correct place. Will be upgrading from Office 2003 to 2010 soon, I'll use your files and expect all will go well! Thanks for your time and effort and for providing these!

Ken,
This fix will break compatibility with Outlook 2007 which is included in the Office 2007 suite.
If you are having issues syncing with Outlook 2007, it is not related to this fix.
If you are using Outlook 2010, and seem confused by the hex editing, you can always try the files I have provided instead so that you can avoid having to muck around in the files themselves.
