I am having the same problem with my Tungsten T3. It apprears our PDAs are not yet compatible with Win 7 but lets hope that Palm can work something out soon.

I have been wondering the same thing. I was disappointed when I had to get a Vista machine, and my Zire 72s wouldn't sync. I've been frustrated about it ever since. After hearing about Windows 7 I was excited that maybe I would be able to use my Palm again. In researching Windows 7, I was wondering if the Professional version would work better than the Home version for this purpose. I have not purchased either, yet. Is there anyone who knows?

I have The Palm zire 72 04 and all the information that was stored there completely disappeared. Erased! It will not sync with windows 7. Do I need a new usb cord, or is this Palm obsolete?
P.S. I had a ton of stuff stored in that Palm and dearly loved it. If there is nothing I can do, what gives?

Yes you can cable sync with a 64bit or 32bit windows 7 computer. If you have a 64bit system then you need the 64bit driver from Aceeca. There is a post called 64bit drivers are here that gives links and how to install the driver. There is also much discussion on the subject. It sounds like you have lost the info and I do not believe there is a way to get it back. In the future use a backup program that puts everything on a memory card so you will be able to get it back.http://forums.palm.com/t5/Windows-HotSync/64-Bit-D
