I recently acquired an old Palm Treo 680 from my brother. I wanted to sync the contacts with my Microsoft Outlook contacts. However, I have Outlook 2010. So in order to get it to sync with my computer, i used the 2 modified .dll files listed on this forum: http://forums.hpwebos.com/t5/Windows-HotSync/Fix-H
My question is this: Do the makers of Palm deem it ok for us to mod/patch their software to make it work, or do they feel it is illegitimate hacking? Odd question i know, but i thought maybe someone has some insight.

Since Palm doesn't exist any more, the question might be moot...
Neither the Admin, nor the former Palm reps who frequent here seemed to have any problems with the posting. I wouldn't fret over it!

Yeah I figured I might have to go out of my way to figure out the answer. Seems like they probably wouldn't care, but it's not like I ever took the time to read the EULA. then again, i wonder if the developers who made the EULA read it either?? 'tis a legalistic worldww we live in ![]()
Thanks for the response!
