Palm TX will sync but not transfer data after installing 64bit drivers for Windows 7 using the USB cable. Does anyone have any advise?

As mentioned many times in this section, try right-clicking on the shortcut for Palm Desktop then choose "Run As Administrator".

Another suggestion is to turn off User Account Control (UAC). Control Panel/Users/Turn off UAC.

Apparently, you cannot synch a Palm onto Windows 7/64 with USB or serial. You have to synch via network or Bluetooth.

Open your Hotsynch Manager and click on "Connections". Check "Bluetooth" and/or "Network". You'll then have to use your Palm PDA (through its own Hotsynch setting options) to find your network and/or Bluetooth connection and synch to it.

This is a pain-in-the-butt process, but it WILL work, once you get the settings right.

Good luck

@MikeNTxs - 64bit USB drivers have been available since April of 2010, and they do work. I've synced successfully to my Vista64 bit laptop many times via USB.

See the sticky thread at the top of this section titled "64bit Palm Desktop drivers are here!"
