Windows HotSync

My operating System is windows vista.

I try to synchronize my data on Palm Tungsten E2 with Microsoft outlook 2003. I use Palm desktop of access outlook conduit (version 7.0.2.). I succeed very well with contacts etc. beside calendar. Synchronizing the calendar always fails.

Please help!

There may be database corruption causing the issue. Click on the following link for the program called DbFixiT. This program has a trial version that you can download and install on your Palm OS device. The trial version will scan for database corruption and then report the corruption. You can then find th records causing the problem and fix them yourself or you can purchase the program and have it automatically fix the records.

To install the program, set all conduits to "do nothing" except quick install or install if using Palm desktop 6.2.

After you install the program on the handheld, run the scan and also scan for Blobs in the calendar.
After you clean-up the database on the handheld, set the conduits in hotsync to handheld overwrites desktop and perform a hotsync.

Many thanks for your answer.

First of all I now succeeded in synchronizing our Tungsten E2 with outlook 2003.

Before that I already had done all the operations with DbFixiT and so on which you also proposed doing: with no success.

But then I was aware of the program PocketMirror from chapura (http://www.chapura.com/pm_standard.php) I risked to invest 39.59 US$ for buying it- and it works very well!

I really don't know why synchronizing failed with the palm conduit but I suppose that perhaps the big amount of the calendar data with data back to the year 2002 could be the reason.
